Product Description
There are few silhouettes as iconic as the plain toe service boot. You’ve got the Coca-Cola bottle, Mickey Mouse ears, and this. Many shoemakers have one. Grant Stone’s take on the plain toe service is the Diesel Boot, a 360 degree Goodyear welted 7-eyelet job (three of them speedhooks) that comes in a variety of leathers and outsoles. There’s a cork filling and a steel shank so the insoles will mold to your feet over time and maintain their rigidity—trust us, we cut one open.
This version is in a nappy grey calf suede from the Charles F. Stead tannery in England and features a contrast wedge rubber outsole. It’s also built on Grant Stone’s Leo last that runs about a half size large and supports a variety of foot shapes.
