Dopp Kits are small, versatile bags that can carry daily goods such as toiletries, stationary, or other tools.
This Kiriko Dopp Kit is crafted from a Nami patterned fabric. The Nami (波) is a wave-esque pattern that was commonly used on armor and battle banners during Japan’s Sengoku Era (c. 1467 – c. 1600). It was thought that wars resembled moving waves. Nami was also used to represent gods of the seas, and is now seen as a sign or unity and strength.
Hand crafted in Portland, Oregon, each Indigo Nami Dopp Kit comes with hand-dyed embossed leather detailing, rail striped canvas lining, and a sturdy brass zipper.
