Product Description
Short sleeves shirts? Yeah, they take those things a bit more seriously down in Cuba. The traditional Cuban guayabera shirt is a loose fitting, four-pocket summer bad boy that tells those other short sleeve wearers that you mean business today.
Battenwear has taken the guayabera one step further with its five-pocket island shirt. Blending the essence of open-collar rayon shirts with the Cuban classic, Battenwear has forged the ultimate shirt for all your summer frolics. Featuring dual waist and chest pockets - with a small fifth pocket inside the right waist pocket - the Island Shirt is made in the USA using a 60/40 cotton/linen blend. This cooling fabric is paired with a loose boxy fit for ultimate summer comfort, and sewn up with flat felled seams for clean, solid construction.

Care Instructions
Washing and maintaining woven shirts and flannels will depend on the woven fabric, so always refer to the care label. However, most woven shirts will be easy to launder by simply washing on a gentle machine cycle and hang drying.
And linen garments should be machine or hand washed in cool water, using a non-biological detergent or natural soap solution. If you’re machine washing, make sure the drum isn’t too crammed so that the linen garment doesn’t get too creased. To dry, lay the damp garment flat on a cooling rail, or hang. Do not tumble dry. If in doubt, refer to the care label.
It is best to avoid ironing linen as heat can damage the fibers. However, if you find yourself with some creasing that won’t drop out with wear, iron your linen garment with a good quality steam iron on a medium heat, using a thin towel or cloth between the iron and the garment. Alternatively, take the garment to a dry cleaner who will be able to steam it.
